Sorry, but another "Critical error Jpcsp cannot display" user...
#1
Hi guys, I know there's a few threads about the "Critical Error: Jpcsp cannot display" issue, but until now there is no solution u.u

-What I already did:
-Updating Java
-Updating my card drivers
-Antialiasing: OFF
-Color depth: 32 bits... and nothing

-My specs:

Windows: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (Build 2600)
Memory (RAM): 2766 MB
CPU Info: Intel® Core™ i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz
CPU Speed: 2095,3 MHz
Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio output |
Display Adapters: Intel® HD Graphics 3000 | Intel® HD Graphics 3000
Screen Resolution: 1366 X 768 - 32 bit
Motherboard *: Quanta TWH

-What the emulator says:

Running Jpcsp 32bit...
java.lang.RuntimeException: Jpcsp cannot display.
The cause could be that you are using an old graphic card driver (try to update
it)
or your display format is not compatible with Jpcsp (try to change your display
format, Jpcsp requires 32 bit color depth)
or the anti-aliasing settings is not supported by your display (leave the Jpcsp
anti-aliasing to its default setting)

The IntelĀ® HD Graphics 3000 is a weak video card (its actually a video card that comes with the CPU so its basic as basic can get) , the card was never intended for 3d gaming, you should upgrade to a dedicated video card if you want to have gaming capabilities, preferably nvidia since it has better opengl support, though seeing how its a laptop it may or may not have an upgrade option.

you could try software mode but even that might not work with that video card.

Intel HD Graphics 3000 working fine on JPCSP several games 2D and some 3D running 40-60 fps It's necesary enabled saving ge screen to textures instead of memory option with this GPU for up 60-80% perfomance.

Interesting, I thought the HD 4000 was the faster one :p, well if it does work, maybe pikapikapika needs to disable anti-aliasing or update the intel drivers, not sure why else that message would appear.

but he did turn the anti aliasing off
and he downloaded the latest drivers
Huh
and he is able to run other emulators well?!
pikapikapika
do you say that the jpcsp doesnt even run cube iso??
as i see it ,it a hardwere issue
your laptop doesnt recognize the gpu
one final thing .try to use compatibilty on jpcsp make it run in service pack 2
or change your os i prefer linux because it is free
and win7 is good but you would be wasting your money if you buy win7 and the error is not fixed
you have the choice Smile

Hi guys! Sorry for dissapearing... I wasn't expecting more replies...
@Hyakki: In fact, my laptop is pretty good at several 3D games in different emulators, PCSX2 and Dolphin, as I said. The issue is, this emulator don't even run the cube.
@MaXimu: Do you have a Intel 3000 too? Well, now I know is not my laptop "power".
@ShinX: There's something I can do for my laptop to recognize the GPU? (whatever a GPU is Tongue ) . What does mean "using compatibilty?".

to use that on any thing in windows
right click on the exe or the thing you want to
click on properties then a menu ll show up, you ll see compatibilty
use it on jpcsp
and what about linux ?? you can install it beside your win xp without losing any thing
gpu is graphic processing unit
in your case it is the intel hd 3000

pikapikapika I have one noteebok CPU I3-380M and GPU Intel graphics 3000HD Big Grin You need disable shader option and Use last Driver for better perfomance and Enable Ge to texture method option and vertex cache.
