Gods Eater Burst - ULUS10563
#51
Stencil test don't work with this game, it mess all the graphics,

Software Rendering solve the problem of the bright, but is slow and the graphics turn out pretty bad full of pixels everywhere

It seems to no longer crash on the loading screens or character creation, though after i completed the first mission it got an invalid memory address (not sure if it's random, I'll have to go through another test)
Toggle save ge textures to memory improves the over-bright anomaly but it's still there just less intense, )but disabling that option will cause broken textures and more crashes(
Log is from start of game -> Character creation to first mission complete.

I temporarily switched the log off on the first mission map to prevent it from looping
UNSUPPORTED: Both different SFIX (0xFEFEFE) and DFIX (0x808080) are not supported (blend equation=0) over and over
before I completed the map i switched it back on.

Edit
Seems like its more prone to crashing if "Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory" is off, re-enabled it and it completed the first mission without invalid memory addresses, that option also causes broken textures if disabled .
uploaded log from second test.

------------------------------------------------------
Further tests (these were complete restarts after changing an option to avoid glitches)
(I kept Shaders, and Geometry shaders enabled, disabling them also caused the same over-bright effect so I left them enabled.)

Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory (no stencil)

Stencil test + Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory
(these two options haven't liked each other since r2492)

Stencil test + Disabled Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory
(bright is better but character is all messed up at the desk Smile

Disabled Stencil test + Disabled Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory
(same as the stencil test just a little brighter, character is messed up too)

Software mode
(kinda has a wire-frame effect)

r2652 could improve the "over-bright anomaly": I've tried to find a better approximation when different SFIX and DFIX factors were used, without shader support.

The incompatibility problem between "save GE to texture" and shader Stencil Test is still unsolved.
Always include a complete log file at INFO level in your reports. Thanks! How to post a log

r2652, has seemed to help the issue , you can now see what you're doing but its still very bright

Only options enabled in screenshots are
[X] Only GE graphics (not recommended for homebrew)
[X] Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory
[X] Disable optimized VertexInfo reading (may improve compatibility)
^ fixes strange triangles that appear at feet of character when shaders are disabled, they change to the character shadow with this.

Shaders were disabled.

Code:
UNSUPPORTED: Both different SFIX (0xFEFEFE) and DFIX (0xFEF2FE) are not supported (blend equation=0), approximating with 0xFFFFFF/0xFEF2FE
UNSUPPORTED: Both different SFIX (0xFEFEFE) and DFIX (0x808080) are not supported (blend equation=0), approximating with 0xFFFFFF/0x808080

JPCSP r2703
Tried to load GEB(JPN ver)'s DLC v1.51, and got error

"19689 [Main] ERROR runtime - Catched Throwable in RuntimeThread:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 268435455"

log is attached,

npdecrypter_log.html = DLC has been decrypted using npdecrypter and can be loaded on PSP cfw PRO-C with noDRM engine. I guess the problem starts at Time 31042

mediago_log.html = using my own DRM DLC downloaded from JP's PSN store. Time 19235

Whoever told you that JPCSP can load DLC now?

I know it can't, and I don't understand programming. Just here to post a log and hope it could help JPCSP's development ^_^.
______________

EDIT: r2703
Here's my setting and a few screenshots
Settings (some might be pointless):
[x] Use vertex cache
[x] Use shaders
[x] Use a Geometry Shader for 2D rendering
[x] Disable UBO
[x] Enable VAO
[x] Enable saving GE screen to Textures instead of Memory
[x] Enable dynamic shader generation (Mine is ATI so I turned it on)
[x] Disable optimized VertexInfo reading
[Memory]
[x] BOTH OPTION

character looks ok and faces are no longer black/dark.

it's still over-bright but i don't know why it is solved after i play around with the settings and enter the mission in 2nd snap (1st snap is what i normaly get, forgot to use logger, sorry). i can't make it happen again after i close and reopen jpcsp.

and this savedata is imported from real psp (by using SED, with my friend's help, my 6.60 psp's save won't work on jpcsp after decrypted by SED, but his 6.39 works. so 6.60 save -> 6.39 corrputed save repair -> SED decrypt -> rename to secure.bin -> jpcsp load without crypto).
since jpcsp can't load dlc, those dlc equipments won't work.
