Guidelines for Submitting Game Reports
#1
This is just for standardizing the posts and to make it easier for developers to find the information, that they need to improve the emulator.

The following applies for commercial games:
  • Please check if there's an existent thread for the game you want to post about. If so, make a post in that thread. If not, create a new thread.
  • As thread title write the name of the game and the Title ID in brackets. For example: "Name of the game [ABCD12345]".
  • Always include the RPCS3 log file - "RPCS3.log" in your post. It can be found in the same folder as the RPCS3 is being ran in. Also include the log file, if reporting a change in the status of the game.
You can either add it as attachment (if too big, compress into a .zip or a .rar), or use a service like Gist or Pastie.
  • It's very strongly advised to use PPU Interpreter as the PPU decoder, since currently PPU Recompiler is inaccurate and may cause some games to not work, while they would work with the interpreter(s).
  • Please refrain from using the PPU Recompiler when reporting results. Only use PPU Recompiler (LLVM), when the game already works with the interpreter(s), and the game is performing slow.
  • If possible, also test with all rendering backends (Vulkan, DX12 and OpenGL), as one may work better than the other.
  • If manual LLE is used, state the names of the modules by their full name. Please also post what firmware version the are modules from.
  • If the game shows something relevant (other than a black screen) screenshots or a video are mandatory.
  • Hacked builds are not allowed. Only post results with the latest official master build.
  • If there are any special/relevant remarks, please tell about them.
For example: decrypt .EDAT files, something weird/interesting happens, requires files to be moved, certain settings, worked on a previous version of the emulator, etc.

For determining the game status:
  • Playable: Games that can be played from start to finish with playable performance and no game breaking glitches.
  • Ingame: The emulator can go past the main menu, and you can actually "play", but glitches and random crashes, or even low performance, make it impossible to reasonably finish the game.
  • Intro: The game shows the intro images/videos correctly or even reaches the main menu, nothing else.
  • Loadable: The game boots but displays nothing more than a black screen with a FPS counter.
  • Nothing: The game doesn't boot at all, not displaying an initial black screen with a FPS counter.

Please keep in mind that piracy is not allowed and asking help with piracy, requesting pirated firmware files or games may result in a permanent suspension.

I have updated the definition of loadable category to be more comprehensive and to also include a few example of "interesting" results.

Quick question: If someone mentioned they torrented a game, would they get banned for it? (As long as no links are posted?)
