Enable the media engine under jpcsp options and make sure you are using a newer svn build.

Digging up an older topic here but I'm having trouble getting this to work.

I run the 2457 version of JPCSP and downloaded SonicStage.
The video's are a bit laggy, but they work with sound. When the actual game starts though I can see the environment, but I only see some artifacts and Zack doesn't show up at all.

Computer should be more than suffice to play this, running I7, 6gb ram and an AMD card.

I've put the configuration settings like they are in the first post, I've tried playing around with it, but as soon as I uncheck any of the shader related options the game won't show anything at all.

Quote: an AMD card.
this could be the problem. try updating your drivers maybe.

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - Radesk - 02-14-2012

Ok, I have this config: Core i5 750, 4gb ram, 1tera hd, radeon hd 5770 and jpcsp r2457, got a CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 UNDUB version. I tried for so long to play this game and i couldn't see the chars displayed as it should, allways showed up some lines. Tried almos everything until the poin that i started to check and unchek one by one.

The only way that I could get to show the chars (@ the first fight scene, after the very first cg) it was this:

(all with * are the ones that I've makerd but got a shaking CG)
(video config menu)

vbo = marker or not, the same result
GE graphic = got a fps gain when got it unmarked (13~30) *
Vertex cache = 2 fps gain*
shaders = shining chars no fps gain *
gemoetry = 1 fps gain*
disable UBO = all the chars can't be displayed when its unmarked -3 fps *
vao = when it's marked I can't see the e-mail icon or the "press x to talk"
ge = fps loss
decoding texture = screw the screen
dynamic = fps loss 1
Stencil = screw the screen
Color mas = same thing, but when marked i got a 0 .5 fps loss
Disable = could not see difference
last op (cant read) = when marked, screw the screen

So, this Option

disable UBO = all the chars can't be displayed when its unmarked -3 fps

is the one fucking things up, and it needs to get fixed or not whatever.

Notice that the description says that it's only relevant when shaders are marked, but it's not, but, if shaders are off, and u tweak the option, it will not work again, you'll need to turno shadders on so the option can work again.

Now, all i need is a fps boost. Hope that I could help, and plz, update the first page

I´m not sure what I´m doing wrong. The game runs but in-game runs at 7fps. I have 4gigaram quadcore and a video card: Radeon 6300 HD. Any help?

RE: CRISIS CORE:FINAL FANTASY VII - ULUS10336 - Vegerunks - 03-02-2012

I haven't played this game since upgrading my computer 5 months ago but when I had my crap computer I'd get about 15 - 20 FPS with Only GE, Save GE to Texture ignore memory errors or whatever, Media engine, use sonic stage, and compiler set to 100 or 500.

But seeing as you have an ATI card you might need to check the ATI suggested ones(like Dynamic Shader Generations)

Lately i've noticed that i have random crashs with compiler @500. When I play with 50 or 100 the game gets @30fps almost all the time, but, whenever ANY char is near of the screen (in a 3d perspective (not usind 3d btw)) he/she just vanish, I can see his shadow but the rest of the char vanish. Makes the game 100% playable (almost like psp) but, it will be a pain in the ass with the cutscene since most are really near, or to find some chests (they also vanish).
