This option should not affect stability or compatibility, only the performance. Most of the games are reported to have a better performance with 50, but some games have a better performance with a higher value. So, the optimal setting depend on the game.

thanks gid . let me test it more on the final fantasy type 0 as lower value causes the emulator itself crashed .

Besides , will you enable the completed stencil test code in future svn ?

SVN 2332 Completed the missing parts for the stencil test with depth (but still disabled).
