No XMB planned, it must be encrypted and reversing it would mean to re-implement it completely.
The video codec Sony uses is H264, it is supported through Xuggle, a ffmpeg wrapper.
But no UMD video playback planned, it's more a goal for ffmpeg than Jpcsp.

Not really...
Also, the PSP's XMB is proprietary, so it would be illegal anyway.

You mean the .mps files? I have no idea about the status of investigation on that format, but I think it's not decodable yet.
