Star Ocean: First Departure - Video lags behind audio.
#1
As title reads. So far I've only had this issue with this game (Tales of Eternia runs perfectly). I've messed around with some settings, and apart from making graphics vanish, little changed.

Is this a known issue? Does anyone have any suggestions? Any replies much appreciated, cheers.

This is a common issue to several games. Also, when the audio is getting too much ahead of the video, the audio begins to stutter.
I've identified the problem but a fix is not quite easy. It is related to the way our video decoding is working and a proper fix would requires a lot of rework in the MediaEngine.

video may lag behind the audio but it is still unplayable for the most part due to invisible characters. and the invisible characters issue hasn't been fixed that I am aware of still have inivisible characters as of r2163
