You can't do much about it apart from buying a faster CPU and/or GPU. What hardware do you have anyway?
JPCSP games tested with Athlon X2 4850e, 4 GB RAM, Radeon HD 3300 (onboard), OpenGL: 3.3.11653, Windows XP SP3 32-bit
PPSSPP games tested with Intel i3, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 2000 (onboard), OpenGL: 3.1.0 Build 6.14.10.5421, Windows XP SP3 32-bit

for the 2d games seens that there's nothing you can do, they simple or work very fast, or work in a middle speed, if you have an OK PC ^^
for the 3d games, they depend heavily on your graphic card it seens, in these games a good graphic card can give you a very good boost of speed

but take it with a grain of salt, the only games that i have tested was, Bleach Heat the Soul 5(works ok),7(its slow, but the framerate say its ok, but the gameplay is still slow),Dissidia Final Fantasy(works ok), Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep(works ok),Valkyria Crocniles 2(totally playable with sounds and stuff)

if you're using windows 7 you can use the magnifier it makes the emulator a little faster it seens i'm not sure

welll, jpcsp doesnt need a high-end gpu. any decent gpu do well the work, with my ati hd 4670 i edit the source code and put aa to 8x (thanks to aredo, in the jpcsp build and releases section, there is the code) the graphics looks awesome (aa 8x+ windows 7 resolution 640x480 looks greatest compared to the same resolution without aa) and i didnt notice a slowdown of the fps with aa.

this emu really needs a fast cpu, but a some point, you didnt notice some diference (i compared a i3 oc to 3360 Mhz and a i7 880 oc to 3500 Mhz, and the fps are the same, and with this 2 processors i didnt obtain fullspeed for example in dissidia) obviously if you use a low end cpu (like P4, celeron, semprom) the emu goes slow. The general speed increase (and many other cool functions like fullscreen, upscaling and aa..etc) will come in future releases with an optimized code by the devs, how long should we wait? that only the dev team knows XD.

can you put your pc specs? Smile

Jpcsp emulator you need is to have a support GPU that supports at least OpenGL 3.1 or higher in some games shaders support function greatly increases the speed in games like Crisis Core for example

And if you have a computer with dual core boosts performance for JIT support

I can run most games at 20-40 FPS with a Nvidia Geforce 6250 onboard video chip and a Athlon 2.9 ghz Single Core processor so i'm surprised and can't wait until i update to a Nvidia 9850 and a Phenomon II x3 3.4 ghz triple Core
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 970 3.7 GHz, GPU: Geforce GTX 550 Ti, Ram: 16 GB, Windows 7 64-bit

It's because of the graphic card, the nvidia graphic cards are the best for jpcsp.Intel has slow speed and Amd/ati has so much bugs
Am I the only one with this cool sig?

Should be noted that higher end CPUs do not necessarily yield better results.
