Coffee Lake 8700k vs Ryzen cpu's
With Coffee Lake on the horizon and Ryzen already out, what are your thoughts on either one or a comparison of the 2? Ryzen will offer more cores, but at a lower clockspeed. It looks like people are able to overclock the ryzen 1950X to 4 ghz on all 16 cores if you really want it.
on the other hand coffee lake will support all 6 cores at at 4.3 out of the box, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it reach 4.5 to 4.7+ on all 6 cores for people who want to make it happen. It will be interesting to see how the ipc compares between the two. what are your guys thoughts? |

RE: Coffee Lake 8700k vs Ryzen cpu's
My thoughts are: It doesn't exist yet, wait for benchmarks and prices.
Probably it will be faster in terms of absolute fps but also more expensive and require a $100 cooler because Intel will still use toothpaste between the IHS and the die. Asus N55SF, i7-2670QM (~2,8 ghz under typical load), GeForce GT 555M (only OpenGL) |

RE: Coffee Lake 8700k vs Ryzen cpu's
If it works with 02845f5 then it should work with last master
02845f5 is the merge of LLE GCM |
