AquaPanic! (Demo) [NPEB90253]
Tested using rpcs3-v0.0.2-2017-03-11-cdc49d16_win64 on an i7 4770K @ 3.5 GHz, GTX 1070, 16 GB DDR3 running Windows 10-64 with the following settings:
PPU decoder: Interpreter (fast) SPU decoder: Recompiler (ASMJIT) LLE libraries picked automatically by RPCS3 Graphics settings: OpenGL, DX12, Vulkan @ 1280x720 w/ VSync, Frame limit set to Auto Audio settings: XAudio2 Input/Output: XInput This game is borderline playable. It runs differently on all renderers: OpenGL (screenshots #1, 2) gives me the smoothest framerates at about 50-60 fps. The image looks mostly accurate, it's kinda ugly though since it doesn't seem to be anti-aliased. Freezes randomly, mostly during the first couple of seconds of gameplay, but not every time. DX12 (screenshot #3) looks a lot smoother than OpenGL but doesn't go beyond the main menu for me. Also misses the menu text and shows a bunch of wrong colors in the menu. Vulkan (screenshots #4, 5) overall looks by far the best. In terms of image quality, it's as smooth as DX12 and as accurate as OpenGL. No random crashes here, either. Unfortunately, with Vulkan the game runs at a framerate of ~15-20 fps most of the time, which I wouldn't really consider playable in this case. The attached log has been recorded using OpenGL and ends with a freeze. |
