Silent Hill HD Collection [BLES01504]
#41
Firelink Bonfire,

You should run game with original eboot.bin and let it install gamedata into dev_hdd0/game/BLES01504, that folder is reserved (e.t. you should run game from another folder, like BLES01504m).

I can't understand.
Boot from eboot.bin does nothing.

Firelink Bonfire,

Make sure, that you're not using integrated graphics
Code:

There is no option to choose Nvidia's GPU.
Anyway, still nothing. After start the game i only heard "White Noiz" on black screen and FSPmeter.

And this:

The executable of SH2 is here:
\RPCS3\dev_hdd0\game\BLES01504\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\sh2game.ppu.self

I run it and RPCS3 decrypt it to sh2game.ppu.elf

And i start game from this binary from folder \RPCS3\dev_hdd0\game\BLES01504\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\

I don't know if I let game install any data during boot of eboot.bin. I lauched it now and hear The me of Laura music song. But screen is black still.

UPD. Born from a Wish scenario starts well and goes in-game for me. I'll use it.
The navigation (i mean normal run/walk) is still broken, though.

I guess, the reason why i can start BfaW scenario is because any .bik-video (like in start of main SH2 scenario) causes error and game simply stops. BfaW starts from scripted scene.

I'm trying this and it looks nice but has serious controls issue. James just almost doesn't move.

Have you seen toilet intro video or it was skipped?

Firelink Bonfire,

You shoudn't use "\RPCS3\dev_hdd0\game\BLES01504" for disc backup, this folder is reserved for game install data. Put game somewhere else, like "\RPCS3\dev_hdd0\game\BLES01504m", run default eboot.bin, let it "install" itself. And then Silent Hill 2 should work.

What files (and folders) should I move to this folder?

Firelink Bonfire,

You could try to copy USRDIR disc contents to "\RPCS3\dev_hdd0\game\BLES01504\USRDIR".

Well, well, well...
What else should I do to make intro video work?
