The game even exits itself Tongue Well, seems to need spurs, like many other commercial games right now. Very shortly speaking spurs is about multithreading and such things, quite essential stuff.

It's self aware I guess Big Grin
And the GCM API RSX uses I think. What I'm interested in is how many games actually utilize all the SPUs rather than relying purely on the PPU. In theory all early 3rd party games could be easier to emulate as developers weren't familiar with the HW.

Pretty much 9/10 games with high end graphics utilize the SPUs, and spurs, to some extent at least from what I have tested. Obviously games like the Arkedo series has no real need to, which is why they work.

Same goes for gcm. Every graphically advanced game is going to be using it a lot.

A good exception from this is Disgaea 3 though. It's not a pretty game, but it is 3D nonetheless. It doesn't use spurs, and doesn't seem to use any advanced gcm commands either. If that strange video error could be fixed it might actually reach in game from there. (Or maybe not Wink )
Asus N55SF, i7-2670QM (~2,8 ghz under typical load), GeForce GT 555M (only OpenGL)
