Sorry to be anal about it Vegerunks... but it is HARD to understand, because reality is not that black and white when it comes to copyright laws in different countries. See my other post to explain this further.
I really think people should be aware of the copyright discourse that (primarily) media has set up that says that 1) pirating is stealing (but then why do we call it pirating and not just theft?) and 2) all pirating is illegal. This is simply not true in both cases.
Anyway, I should add that I am happy we CAN discuss these things here, as I know this would not always be the case where even the mentioning of illegal downloading would have you completely shut off of the forums.
